My Experience visiting Kala Ghoda Arts Festival for the first time

As the winter months are the most pleasant in Mumbai it may be the ideal weather to head out in the sun. The Kala Ghoda Arts Festival in Mumbai. Started by the Kala Ghoda Association, the festival, a melting pot of cultural experiences, celebrates its 20th edition this year.
From art in every form, heritage walks, and cinema to live performances, children’s activities, literature, and stand-up comedy, there is a little something for everybody here. Our tip: Make sure to choose a time that’s not peak hour to wholly enjoy the variety the festival offers.

This was the first time I have visited Kala Ghoda art festival it was amazing to see such creative things by all the creators, every art was wonderful and well crafted. KGAF is one of the biggest art and cultural festival in the world with over 500 events spread over 9 days the Kala Ghoda art festival attracts large crowds this year KGAF has completed its 20 years, here are some reasons to go to Kala Ghoda art festival

The visual art at Kala Ghoda art festival 2020 array of visual art installations that are inspiring and gaze worthy, both at the same once. While most of us struggle to know what lies between the lines, the rest of us just wonder about the creative mindsets that spawned such miraculous ideas. At the 2020 Kala Ghoda Festival, there are 36 Heritage Walk Events. From scrap to sculptured masterpieces, these would make you stop, think, smile and appreciate the efforts put behind. personally I liked one of the exhibits is an ambassador car covered in denim called ‘Genes of khadi’. celebrating 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi

2. Theatre

You can witness theatre enthusiasts presenting interesting regional theatre dramas to showcase the journey of the art. Kala Ghoda Festival 2020 has 25 plays in English, Hindi, Marathi, and Gujarati staged at Horniman Circle Gardens and National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA). Plays are popular at Kala Ghoda Arts Festival and audiences usually start queuing one hour before the start of the play.

Old Hindi music, jazz or hip hop and more, you can experience it all at the Kala Ghoda Festival Events include concerts in Indian Classical, Indi Pop, Indian Fusion, Sufi, Jazz, English Classical, Percussions and Pop. Kala Ghoda Music events are held at Cross Maidan. There is one event at NGMA. The Kala Ghoda movie festival brings to you one of the best ensembles ever. From Bollywood delights to directors cut choices and critically acclaimed masterpieces, you would be spoilt for choice over here. And just about everything is a worthy act in itself.

6. Food

The Kala Ghoda brings to you some of the finest delectables from the city and beyond. When you’re done admiring the world around, turn to the aromatic food available here. Being a bibliophile and not being a part of this is absolutely a waste of your life.
